MEMBERSHIP DUES & TIMING
APA membership follows a calendar year and expires December 31. New members joining during the year receive prorated membership dues:
April 1–June 30: 75% of annual dues
July 1–September 30: 50% of annual dues
October 1–December 31: 125% of annual dues and membership continues through the following year.

PUBLISHER MEMBERS
For all publishers of audio products. If your company publishes narrative audio products, your company classifies as a publisher.
Membership dues range from $300.00 to $7,300.00.
VOICE TALENT (NARRATORS)
This category is for individual voice talents who are recording narrative audio projects.
Membership dues: $165.00
SUPPLIERS
This category is for companies that work for audio publishers and retailers. This includes wholesalers, duplicators, production studios, and agencies.
Membership dues: $300.00
RETAILERS
For all retailers, including bricks & mortar stores, online stores, and catalogs.
Membership dues: $300.00
MEDIA
This is the membership category for press and publications.
Membership dues: $300.00
INDIVIDUAL INDUSTRY PROFESSIONAL
This category is for individuals in the audio industry, including agents, reviewers, authors, editors, consultants, journalists, and independent producers. If more than one member of your organization works on audio projects, please join as a retailer or supplier.
Membership dues: $165.00
LIBRARIAN
This category is for librarians who work with the audio industry or are interested in the audio industry.
Membership dues: $60.00
STUDENT
This category is for any student enrolled in an accredited college, university, or acting conservatory. (note: Student members are ineligible for special sessions like Quick Pitch and Meet the Producers.)
Membership dues: $60.00
Membership Notes: All APA memberships follow a calendar year. Membership renewals expire at the close of the calendar year regardless of when payment is made. APA dues are not tax deductible as charitable contributions; however, they may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses for federal income tax purposes.
