APAC will be held on Thursday, May 29 in conjunction with Book Expo America. Two tracks will be offered concurrently at the 2008 APAC; a publisher track and a narrator track. Agendas for each are listed below. A special pre-APAC workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 28 for narrator track attendees who register in advance. Space in this workshop is limited and full details can be found below.

Join Chip Hurd as she provides insights and tips on effectively coaching talent to bring thier best performances to life. Chip is an American actress, director, consultant and dialogue coach. She directed the award-winning Bible Experience audiobook. Chip made her film debut in Claudine (1974), played the birth mother of Janet Jackson in the '70s hit, Good Times and has had numerous supporting roles and guest appearances on television. She has also directed episodes of the popular UPN sitcoms, One on One, All of Us, Girlfriends and The Parkers. She has been a consultant for The Parkers, Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century and Living Single. Chip is also the mother of actresses Kim and Alexis Fields and has been married to technical director Erv Hurd since 1994. Guest panelists include Phil Morris, Pauletta Washington, and Morgan Gherhardt.

Publishers are being bombarded with sales-pitches from "green-certification" companies. How do you cut through the "green-tape?" Join this session and learn about practical audiobook solutions that are environmentally low-impact and high quality.
Session speaker: Robin Raj, Partner/Creative Director at Citizen Group.
As both a creative director and copywriter, Robin has contributed to some of the world’s most best-known brands. His work has earned dozens of awards in both traditional and digital media including Clios and Cannes Lions. While at Chiat/Day in the 1980's, he created the NYNEX Yellow Pages "Human Cartoons" campaign, voted one of Adweek’s 25 Greatest Ad Campaigns. Today Robin is putting his energies towards helping shape social change by focusing on “citizen brands.” 2007 saw the launch of Citizen, a spin-off of Collaborate, the San Francisco agency he co-founded in 1999, with clients such as Amnesty International, Pabst Brewing Company, NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) and Wal-Mart (sustainability program).

David Weiner joined PR Newswire in 2002 as an editor and has extensive experience dealing with all aspects of wire, photo, and multimedia distribution. Over the past four years, David has been counseling many of the largest public relations and investor relations agencies on best practices, especially related to social media. Dave Hanley has been working in web media for years, most recently as director of product management at RealNetworks where he oversaw Rhapsody.com and Rhapsody's web services program.
